Networking...

We all know that networking is real important for the healthy growth of our businesses, but how many of us really know?  I heard a saying once that said:  "To know, and not to do, means not to know".  Think about it...... do you really know????

I went to a great breakfast at the Dingley International Hotel recently.  The speaker I'd had some contact with via email and as he was coming down from NSW to Victoria to speak, he thought he'd let me know.

And then another associate told me about a breakfast she was going to, on the same day!  It turned out to be the same function.

What's in the Box Productions holds Breakthrough For Breakfasts on a regular basis in Victoria (regional areas included) and is looking to set up in every state.  The speaker on this occasion was Stuart O'Neill, Major Guerrilla of Guerrilla Marketing.  His information was good, thought-provoking.  Some of it I'd heard at other functions but it is always good to revisit just how well you are doing your own marketing.  He gave out a booklet (How you can Grow your Business using Guerrilla Marketing business cards as a weapon) that mentioned various items that should characterise your business card.  I'm pleased to say I met all his criteria - excepting the last, to give out more than 1 business card at a time.  So, if I start to push 2, 3 or more into your hand next time we meet face-to-face, please understand I'm doing what the Major told me to!
